About the Journal

Variance: Journal of Statistics and Its Applications is an open-access scientific publication published by the Statistics Study Program, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pattimura University. We published the issue twice a year. Since its establishment in 2018, the publication period has been June and December. But since 2023, it has changed to April and October. The published articles are research results such as surveys, case studies, and application of theories, which show novelty. This journal has been accredited SINTA 5 by Arjuna since March 2025.

The journal focuses on official statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, business and industrial statistics, demography, time series, spatial, data mining, computational statistics, and actuarial science. The print version of the journal is p-ISSN 2685-8738, and the online version is e-ISSN 2685-872X, which is published on the website https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/variance/ using OJS. Each article in this journal is identified by a unique identifier number (DOI/Digital Object Identifie).

Before Submission
Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official VARIANCE template and adhere strictly to the Author Guidelines. Submissions are generally expected to be co-authored; single-author papers are considered only for editor-invited contributors or scholars with a well-established record in statistics research.
Manuscripts will be desk-rejected if they deviate from the guidelines, fall outside the journal’s aims and scope, use an incorrect format, or exhibit substandard English. Only submissions that fully meet VARIANCE standards will proceed to peer review. Online submission and status tracking require prior registration and login.
