About the Journal

JASS: Journal of Applied Spatial Statistics is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the field of mathematics education. Published biannually in June and December since its inception in December 2026, JASS: Journal of Applied Spatial Statistics serves as a vital platform for a global community of academics, practitioners, and researchers—including teachers, professors, and students—to disseminate high-quality research. The journal welcomes original research articles and, by invitation, comprehensive review articles from leading experts in mathematics education, both from Indonesia and abroad. JASS: Journal of Applied Spatial Statistics scope encompasses all areas of Spatial statistics, Applied Spatial Statistics, Spatial Extreme Model, Mathematics in Spatial Field, Spatial analysis in environment field and Spatial in Machine Learning.

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the official JASS template and in strict compliance with the author guidelines. Submissions must typically be multi-authored; sole authorship is permitted only for scholars invited by the editors or those with an established, reputable record in mathematics education research. All manuscripts must be thoroughly proofread and screened for plagiarism. Notably, for the 2025 edition, a proofreading certificate is mandatory and must be uploaded as a supplementary file. The journal will desk-reject any manuscript that deviates from the guidelines, falls outside its aim and scope, uses an incorrect format, or exhibits poor English grammar. Only submissions that fulfill all JASS: Journal of Applied Spatial Statistics standards will advance to the review stage. Online submission and status tracking require prior registration and login.

On 12 December 2025, we open the submission window for the Journal of Applied Spatial Statistics (JASS).

General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must present original research that has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal.

  • Manuscripts should be written in English.

  • Submissions must follow the official JASS template and author guidelines.
